Anyone over the age of 9 should be required to watch Congress in action for credit in school. Anyone who votes should be required to watch for no less than 4 hours a week so they have a clue as to what is going on. Oh, wait that would be too much Govt control so forget that. I just wish people would voluntarily inform themselves of the BS that occurs during Markup, committee meetings and on the floor itself. It is outrageous. I am not savvy enough to record what I see and transfer it here for you to watch or I would. It boggles the mind how childish these people are.

Sensibile tips on the Flu
Please read this article on Swine Flu. It is common sense. No one has been talking about it for months but it is still out there so why not take a few simple steps. I personally don't intend to try to get a shot. I'm more scaredof a hastily created vaccine then I am of getting this flu. I have not gotten a flu shot in years. The last 2 times I did I got soooooo sick and the Nurse said, " Just think how bad you would feel if you hadn't gotten the shot" Well I have not been sick since then. Works for me. However, I plan to fly next week so I am taking my wipes with me and not touching anything I don't wipe first. I don't give a rats arse what other people think.
Anyway, it won't hurt to spend a couple minutes reading this & keeping it in mind when the Media has nothing else to hype about in a month or two.

The stimulus is working as planned. Yeah that is true. Oh, you don't have a job? Well, BHO will save you, just join Americorp, be a community organizer. College, not a prob man just work for the Gov for 10 years and we will pay your loans. During that 10 years we will warp your mind, control your life and decide your place in life. Only 300k or so jobs will be lost in the next few years as the minimum wage increases. I predict Texas will grow immensely in the next few years as people flock to a relativly free state. Although there are some positive provisions in the current House Tri-Committee bill – including insurance for all and payment reform demonstration projects – the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite.
In general, the proposals under discussion are not patient focused or results oriented. Lawmakers have failed to use a fundamental lever – a change in Medicare payment policy – to help drive necessary improvements in American health care. Unless legislators create payment systems that pay for good patient results at reasonable costs, the promise of transformation in American health care will wither. The real losers will be the citizens of the United States.

President Obama sharply criticized Republicans on Tuesday for following a “familiar script” to “block healthcare reform.” The president, seeking to prod the Democratic-controlled Congress to show significant progress on healthcare reform before the August recess, directed blame at the GOP for the stalled legislation. Obama blasted the "familiar script" of Republicans who "have openly declared their intention to block healthcare reform."Republicans have lambasted Democrats’ efforts to pass healthcare reform, but they have noted that with comfortable majorities in both chambers and control of the White House, Democrats have the ability to pass their legislation.
Yes, let me see House = Dems 256 Repubs 178 Senate = Dems 60 Repubs 40 Pres =1 Looks to me like they don't need any help destroying this country. The problem Obama is having is after all his bitching and moaning about trying to be Bi-Partisan and getting no respect from the Repubs. He is getting exactly what he asked for Bi-PartisanShip.. BiPartisan opposition to his 10th amendment smashing, 1st amendment destroying legislation. Oh wait, in his conference call with MoveOn etc he admitted he had not read the bill. Oh, and has anyone asked him why if this is so damn important why then did he vote NO 7 times between May 2006 and March 2008 (in his short time in the Senate) on Health Care Reform? Sen Jim DeMint (SC) has been in the forefront of offering proposals meaningful to Health. Nobama is now calling it Health Insurance Refrom by the way.
Don't stop now! Keep calling and writing your sleazy Reps in DC no need to stop with your state either, what these Nimrods do affect ALL American citizens.
Personal Thoughts on so called Health Reform
I have been trying to convince friends and family to contact their Reps and ask them why the Physicians in the Congress are not the ones writing reform, as who knows better? While the cost is an issue for sure it is a side issue. I don't want to go to a Dr. who is being forced to see me on someone elses terms, that someone being a know nothing bureaucrat. As you often hear if you complain about a chefs food and send it back - more often than not when your plate returns it will have some added ingredients. True? I do not know but I agree the possibility is there. If you are a Doctor who went into medicine for all the right reasons how can you not end up resenting the system this reform will create and get lazy on the care you give? Those who expect something for nothing deserve what they get. Those that are personally responsible and make their own choices would never ever choose a bureaucrat to determine their care.
I am emailing and calling my Reps daily, tho I know they probably don't care what I say, my hope is that millions of my fellow citizens are doing the same and at some point our message will be heard. I think Sen. Coburn has some wonderful ideas but no one seems to listen.
My health is worth spending some of my hard earned $$ on but only when I am the one who chooses what that care is going to be and who is going to provide it. Food for thought, I had a sick cat and took him to the "medicade level" vet clinic, He is dead. I had another cat that got the exact same sickness, I took him to the "private level" vet clinic where together we made choices & decisions regarding how to treat him & he is alive 3 years later. I still grieve for my lost cat knowing he could be alive today if I had gone to the "private level" care. Under the so called reform as it is written today many Americans will be my dead cat. Think about it.

The action came a day after the head of the Congressional Budget Office said none of the plans under review would slow health care spending. None of them.
Still, lawmakers and the White House press on, relying on GOP weakness in the House and a new veto-proof majority in the Senate. They're also relying on a lack of awareness that claims made on behalf of national health care may be mostly false. Among them:
• America has a health care crisis.
No, we don't. Forty-seven million people lack insurance. Of the remaining 85% of the population, or 258 million people, polls show high satisfaction with the current coverage. Indeed, a 2006 poll by ABC News, the Kaiser Family Foundation and USA Today found 89% of Americans were happy with their own health care.
As for the estimated 47 million not covered by health insurance, 20 million can afford to buy it, according to a study by former CBO Director June O'Neill. Most of the other 27 million are single and under 35, with as many as a third illegal aliens.
When it's all whittled down, as few as 12 million are unable to buy insurance — less than 4% of a population of 305 million. For this we need to nationalize 17% of our nation's $14 trillion economy and change the current care that 89% like? "
Exactly the question so many of we Americans are asking our so called Reps in DC and not getting any good answers. Well keep on holding their feet to the fire and mean it when you tell them you will work really hard to get their opponents elected in 2010 and 2012.

The cost of healthcare eats up more and more of our savings each year, yet we keep delaying reform. Our children will compete for jobs in a global economy that too many of our schools do not prepare them for. And though all these challenges went unsolved, we still managed to spend more money and pile up more debt, both as individuals and through our government, than ever before. And forcing govt healthcare down our throats is going to maintain the level of healthcare we have? Reducing benefits to our Seniors (by the way they paid into it) will stop rationing and our colleges will be full of future doctors who know the Govt will control their earnings. Doubtful. How about we draw a line starting on 1/1/2010 anyone over 30 will continue to pay into SS and Medicare those under 30 will be responsible for a HSA and their own care. This phases out SS and Medicare and um what was it in part one RESPONSIBILITY kicks in. Dunno my Mom raised 4 children alone and managed to take care of our medical needs.
In other words, we have lived through an era where too often, short-term gains were prized over long-term prosperity; where we failed to look beyond the next payment, the next quarter, or the next election. A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy instead of an opportunity to invest in our future. Regulations were gutted for the sake of a quick profit at the expense of a healthy market. People bought homes they knew they couldn’t afford from banks and lenders who pushed those bad loans anyway. And all the while, critical debates and difficult decisions were put off for some other time on some other day. Hmmm failed to look beyond the next election, that sounds like the ONE who voted Present & about 500+ folks on capitol hill. Transfer wealth...think Joe the Plumbler's ? to the ONE. People bought homes they knew they couldn't afford because BARNEY FRANK, ACORN etc forced the lending community to make homes affordable to low income people WHO COULDN'T AFFORD HOMES!! What was the SEC doing all this time? Our wonderful Treas Sec was busy evading paying his taxes.

The weight of this crisis will not determine the destiny of this nation. The answers to our problems don’t lie beyond our reach. They exist in our laboratories and universities; in our fields and our factories; in the imaginations of our entrepreneurs and the pride of the hardest-working people on Earth. Ok lets see 5 months later few can afford to attend the brain drains that are our public universities, Select labs are getting no strings attached "stimulus" $$, the fields of CA have been drained of water to save some friggin little fish, our few remaining factories are shipping jobs to China and India where they laugh at the awesome stupidity of Cap & Tax, entrepeneurs cannot get loans and the hardest working people on earth are losing jobs by the millions. Those qualities that have made America the greatest force of progress and prosperity in human history we still possess in ample measure. What is required now is for this country to pull together, confront boldly the challenges we face, and take responsibility for our future once more. Well we like taking responsibility for ourselves so get the F out of our way, keep your hands our of our pockets, out of our homes, out of our medical records and let us get on with it. The Senate Finance Committee is weighing a "millionaires' tax," a surcharge on health benefits for top earners and a Medicare tax on capital-gains income. And still on the table is Obama's proposal to limit deductions for wealthy taxpayers.

Savings in Medicare and Medicaid. Our seniors paid into Medicare that belongs to them. They are covered. Don’t know much about Medicaid but seems to me those people are already covered in some manner also. How about streamlinging those programs, detect and prosecute fraud in the system and save millions there. No coverage for illegals. Well now we are down to some 15-20 million uncovered folks. Many of those choose NOT to buy insurance. States already have programs. What is the problem? No need to duplicate with Fed $$. At most a co-op type program has been suggested which could be offered to uninsured at low cost. No matter what these freaks come up with I want to make sure they are part of the plan. Many of the proposed so called Co Op plans are just cover ups for a federal plan calling for a governing board set up by the fed and funded by the fed that would everntually be run by participants. Yeah right, we all know when the damn Fed gets into something it never gets out, I.E. Amtrak. In fact Sleazy Schemer has said we must have something to keep things honest. HAHAHA Honest and the fed no gonna happen.
No more Platinum plans for them that we pay for. They are no better than you and me.

10th Amendment
The 10th amendment is short and sweet. It very clearly defines states rights:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively. or to the people."
As a member of No party currently my mission is to remind the elected officials of their oaths of office and uphold the constitution.

Well at the Capitol I hope to leave a message for Mr. Baird to repay the citizens of WA state for taking family on a wonderful 4 day trip to the Galapagos Islands. I didn't know snorkling was a way to study so called Global Warming.
