I have replaced all my appliances except my stove. It is the only remaining GE item in my home. When we move next year as much as I like the stove it stays with the house and I buy a new NON GE stove. I practice what I preach. No Water for CA farmers but lots of Mercury

Mercury mines have polluted many many watersources in CA & the Govt does nothing to clean it up. So if the Smelt dies of Mercury Poisoning perhaps the Govt will get off its ass & clean up the waterways, then come up with a screen system & a "Smelt Path" so the Valley can once again get water, CLEAN WATER. Currently they are doing nothing & even built a colony for local Indians RIGHT ON TOP OF waste from a mine. They state they knew it was contaminated but didn't know at the time how dangerous Mercury poisoning is. Yeah Right.

Obama to Spend $10.3 Trillion on Welfare:
Since the beginning of the War on Poverty, government has spent $15.9 trillion (in inflation-adjusted 2008 dollars) on means-tested welfare. In comparison, the cost of all other wars in U.S. history was $6.4 trillion (in inflation-adjusted 2008 dollars).
Under President Obama, government will spend more on welfare in a single year than President George W. Bush spent on the war in Iraq during his entire presidency.
According to President Obama's budget projections, federal and state welfare spending will total $10.3 trillion over the next 10 years (FY 2009 to FY 2018). This spending will equal $250,000 for each person currently living in poverty in the U.S., or $1 million for a poor family of four.
Over the next decade, federal spending will equal $7.5 trillion, while state spending will reach $2.8 trillion. These figures do not include any of the increases in health care expenditure currently being debated in Congress.

The ‘One-Minute Speech,’ which is recorded into the Congressional Record, noticeably contained no apology from Mr. Wilson who has been threatened with punishment by House Democrats who have demanded an apology from the Congressman for shouting ‘You Lie!’ from the House floor at President Obama.

The government has launched Census in Schools, an all-out campaign targeting superintendents, principals, teachers, students and, indirectly, parents, as schools open across the nation this month and next. The message: The Census is coming and here’s why everyone should care.
The goal is to send posters, teaching guides, maps and lesson plans to every school in the nation, Puerto Rico and U.S. island territories to encourage everyone to participate in the national count. The materials will land in more than 118,000 schools and reach 56 million students.
“It’s great to reach the children because children are such strong voices in their homes,” says Renee Jefferson-Copeland, chief of the Census schools program. “In households that are linguistically isolated, they can express the information to their parents.”
…Between January and March, the Census Bureau will help plan a week of Census education in schools. During Census Week, teachers will devote 15 minutes every day for five days to the topic by discussing such things as civic participation, confidentiality or geography.
I find this last paragraph quite disturbing. Yes you can teach about the Census & its original intent. Also teach it is now used as a tool to jerrymander. It is not the job of the Census Bureau to give schools lesson plans.

Synopsis: This subtitle enables health improvement to occur in communities as well as in medical settings.
Most chronic diseases can be prevented through lifestyle and environmental changes. Community
prevention programs encourage physical activity, good nutrition, and the reduction of tobacco use, making
it easier for individuals to make healthy choices.
Community Transformation Grants: This section authorizes the Secretary to award competitive grants to eligible
entities for programs that promote individual and community health and prevent the incidence of chronic disease.
Communities can carry out programs to prevent and reduce the incidence of chronic diseases associated with
overweight and obesity, tobacco use, or mental illness; or other activities that are consistent with the goals of
promoting healthy communities. [§ 321]
Healthy Aging, Living Well: The goal of this program is to improve the health status of the pre-Medicare-eligible
population to help control chronic disease and reduce Medicare costs. The CDC would provide grants to states or
large local health departments to conduct pilot programs in the 55-to-64 year old population. Pilot programs would
evaluate chronic disease risk factors, conduct evidence-based public health interventions, and ensure that individuals
identified with chronic disease or at-risk for chronic disease receive clinical treatment to reduce risk. Pilot programs
would be evaluated for success in controlling Medicare costs in the community.

Wellness for Individuals with Disabilities: Amends the Americans with Disabilities Act to establish standards for
accessibility of medical diagnostic equipment to individuals with disabilities. [§ 323]

What separates the American health care system from others in the world is the relationship between patients and their doctors. Unlike the government-run health care systems in Canada, Great Britain and other countries, our system allows Americans to make health care decisions without government rationing of care. Any attempt at health care reform must strengthen, not hurt, the relationship between patients and doctors. Patients and their families need to be able to make health care decisions based on consultations with doctors. We do not need Washington bureaucrats deciding what we can and cannot do. The co-op chatter is just a sham. The gov will run the co ops don't let them kid you. Some have said 3-5 years of Govt. subsidy to get things going. Hahahahaha how long did they say they would be helping AMTrak? I'm just saying......... Keep the pressure on your Reps.

I have taken the time to read the various versions of the Health Care Bill. I know what it says & yet my Representatives don't really have a clue. I may not understand every nuance but I can understand the general picture. I know at most 1% of Reps have even read one of the current versions. Millions of Seniors will be allowed to just die, QALY's, Commissions, Exchange Plans, Taxes will increase for small business, MILLIONS will lose their current plans regardless of what Obama keeps saying. These plans that need to be melded into one ARE NOT PAID FOR. Taxpayer funded abortion and free care for illegals. They will tell you it is not in the bill. Well, if it is NOT EXPLICITLY forbidden you can bet it will be standard practice. These are facts. Committee Chairmen need to stop refusing to even listen to GOP & even DEM offerings. There have been many from both sides totally ignored.
This is not the reform Americans need or want.

If nothing else read pages 28-38 get your own take on it. Too me it reads the "essential benefits" package would cover 70% up to 10k per family. The "enhanced benefits" package would cover 85% and the "premium benefits" package would cover 95% of the actuarial value of benefits. Don't take my understanding of this for granted. Read it. Too me it says many people who now have Ins that pays 80% will have to pay 10% more out of pocket. I got so bogged down around page 545 I had to start reading all over again and will probably reread it again and again until I truly (think) I understand it and so I have solid questions to ask my reps when they hold Town Halls.

Anyone over the age of 9 should be required to watch Congress in action for credit in school. Anyone who votes should be required to watch for no less than 4 hours a week so they have a clue as to what is going on. Oh, wait that would be too much Govt control so forget that. Sensibile tips on the Flu
Please read this article on Swine Flu. It is common sense. No one has been talking about it for months but it is still out there so why not take a few simple steps. I personally don't intend to try to get a shot. I'm more scaredof a hastily created vaccine then I am of getting this flu. I have not gotten a flu shot in years. The last 2 times I did I got soooooo sick and the Nurse said, " Just think how bad you would feel if you hadn't gotten the shot" Well I have not been sick since then. Works for me. However, I plan to fly next week so I am taking my wipes with me and not touching anything I don't wipe first. I don't give a rats arse what other people think.
Anyway, it won't hurt to spend a couple minutes reading this & keeping it in mind when the Media has nothing else to hype about in a month or two.

Although there are some positive provisions in the current House Tri-Committee bill – including insurance for all and payment reform demonstration projects – the proposed legislation misses the opportunity to help create higher-quality, more affordable health care for patients. In fact, it will do the opposite.
In general, the proposals under discussion are not patient focused or results oriented. Lawmakers have failed to use a fundamental lever – a change in Medicare payment policy – to help drive necessary improvements in American health care. Unless legislators create payment systems that pay for good patient results at reasonable costs, the promise of transformation in American health care will wither. The real losers will be the citizens of the United States.

Yes, let me see House = Dems 256 Repubs 178 Senate = Dems 60 Repubs 40 Pres =1 Looks to me like they don't need any help destroying this country. The problem Obama is having is after all his bitching and moaning about trying to be Bi-Partisan and getting no respect from the Repubs. He is getting exactly what he asked for Bi-PartisanShip.. BiPartisan opposition to his 10th amendment smashing, 1st amendment destroying legislation. Oh wait, in his conference call with MoveOn etc he admitted he had not read the bill. Oh, and has anyone asked him why if this is so damn important why then did he vote NO 7 times between May 2006 and March 2008 (in his short time in the Senate) on Health Care Reform? Sen Jim DeMint (SC) has been in the forefront of offering proposals meaningful to Health. Nobama is now calling it Health Insurance Refrom by the way.

Personal Thoughts on so called Health Reform
I have been trying to convince friends and family to contact their Reps and ask them why the Physicians in the Congress are not the ones writing reform, as who knows better? While the cost is an issue for sure it is a side issue. I don't want to go to a Dr. who is being forced to see me on someone elses terms, that someone being a know nothing bureaucrat. As you often hear if you complain about a chefs food and send it back - more often than not when your plate returns it will have some added ingredients. True? I do not know but I agree the possibility is there. If you are a Doctor who went into medicine for all the right reasons how can you not end up resenting the system this reform will create and get lazy on the care you give? Those who expect something for nothing deserve what they get. Those that are personally responsible and make their own choices would never ever choose a bureaucrat to determine their care.
I am emailing and calling my Reps daily, tho I know they probably don't care what I say, my hope is that millions of my fellow citizens are doing the same and at some point our message will be heard. I think Sen. Coburn has some wonderful ideas but no one seems to listen.
My health is worth spending some of my hard earned $$ on but only when I am the one who chooses what that care is going to be and who is going to provide it. Food for thought, I had a sick cat and took him to the "medicade level" vet clinic, He is dead. I had another cat that got the exact same sickness, I took him to the "private level" vet clinic where together we made choices & decisions regarding how to treat him & he is alive 3 years later. I still grieve for my lost cat knowing he could be alive today if I had gone to the "private level" care. Under the so called reform as it is written today many Americans will be my dead cat. Think about it.

The action came a day after the head of the Congressional Budget Office said none of the plans under review would slow health care spending. None of them.
Still, lawmakers and the White House press on, relying on GOP weakness in the House and a new veto-proof majority in the Senate. They're also relying on a lack of awareness that claims made on behalf of national health care may be mostly false. Among them:
• America has a health care crisis.
No, we don't. Forty-seven million people lack insurance. Of the remaining 85% of the population, or 258 million people, polls show high satisfaction with the current coverage. Indeed, a 2006 poll by ABC News, the Kaiser Family Foundation and USA Today found 89% of Americans were happy with their own health care.
As for the estimated 47 million not covered by health insurance, 20 million can afford to buy it, according to a study by former CBO Director June O'Neill. Most of the other 27 million are single and under 35, with as many as a third illegal aliens.
When it's all whittled down, as few as 12 million are unable to buy insurance — less than 4% of a population of 305 million. For this we need to nationalize 17% of our nation's $14 trillion economy and change the current care that 89% like? "
Exactly the question so many of we Americans are asking our so called Reps in DC and not getting any good answers. Well keep on holding their feet to the fire and mean it when you tell them you will work really hard to get their opponents elected in 2010 and 2012.

YEAH AND THE CAP AND TAX THAT IS NOTHING MORE THAN A TAX BILL IT CREATES NO JOBS GREEN OR OTHERWISE AND INCREASES OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL, LIKE BECK SAYS WE SEND OUR $ OVER TO SAUDI FOR OIL AND THEN WE BORROW SAME $ BACK. HOW STUPID AND DANGEROUS IS THAT? UM YEAH HEALTH CARE MORE ENTITLEMENT & FEWER FREEDOMS FOR ALL - GOTTA LOVE IT. PART II
The cost of healthcare eats up more and more of our savings each year, yet we keep delaying reform. Our children will compete for jobs in a global economy that too many of our schools do not prepare them for. And though all these challenges went unsolved, we still managed to spend more money and pile up more debt, both as individuals and through our government, than ever before. And forcing govt healthcare down our throats is going to maintain the level of healthcare we have? Reducing benefits to our Seniors (by the way they paid into it) will stop rationing and our colleges will be full of future doctors who know the Govt will control their earnings. Doubtful. How about we draw a line starting on 1/1/2010 anyone over 30 will continue to pay into SS and Medicare those under 30 will be responsible for a HSA and their own care. This phases out SS and Medicare and um what was it in part one RESPONSIBILITY kicks in. Dunno my Mom raised 4 children alone and managed to take care of our medical needs.
In other words, we have lived through an era where too often, short-term gains were prized over long-term prosperity; where we failed to look beyond the next payment, the next quarter, or the next election. A surplus became an excuse to transfer wealth to the wealthy instead of an opportunity to invest in our future. Regulations were gutted for the sake of a quick profit at the expense of a healthy market. People bought homes they knew they couldn’t afford from banks and lenders who pushed those bad loans anyway. And all the while, critical debates and difficult decisions were put off for some other time on some other day. Hmmm failed to look beyond the next election, that sounds like the ONE who voted Present & about 500+ folks on capitol hill. Transfer wealth...think Joe the Plumbler's ? to the ONE. People bought homes they knew they couldn't afford because BARNEY FRANK, ACORN etc forced the lending community to make homes affordable to low income people WHO COULDN'T AFFORD HOMES!! What was the SEC doing all this time? Our wonderful Treas Sec was busy evading paying his taxes.

The weight of this crisis will not determine the destiny of this nation. The answers to our problems don’t lie beyond our reach. They exist in our laboratories and universities; in our fields and our factories; in the imaginations of our entrepreneurs and the pride of the hardest-working people on Earth. Ok lets see 5 months later few can afford to attend the brain drains that are our public universities, Select labs are getting no strings attached "stimulus" $$, the fields of CA have been drained of water to save some friggin little fish, our few remaining factories are shipping jobs to China and India where they laugh at the awesome stupidity of Cap & Tax, entrepeneurs cannot get loans and the hardest working people on earth are losing jobs by the millions. Good job Bama.
Those qualities that have made America the greatest force of progress and prosperity in human history we still possess in ample measure. What is required now is for this country to pull together, confront boldly the challenges we face, and take responsibility for our future once more. Well we like taking responsibility for ourselves so get the F out of our way, keep your hands our of our pockets, out of our homes, out of our medical records and let us get on with it. Government IS the problem.
My next new car
Well there is no way in hell I will ever buy a GM or Chrysler vehicle.
Gotta respect Ford for standing on its own 4 wheels and so far hanging in there. I would urge all my friends and family and fellow Patriots to only buy Ford if you plan to buy "American". The Senate Finance Committee is weighing a "millionaires' tax," a surcharge on health benefits for top earners and a Medicare tax on capital-gains income. And still on the table is Obama's proposal to limit deductions for wealthy taxpayers.
SO AVERAGE WAGE EARNERS WHO HAPPEN TO OWN A FEW STOCKS THAT ARE ACTUALLY WORTH SOMETHING WILL BE TAXED ON THOSE SMALL EARNINGS. IN THE EVENT THE BRAINWASHED MASSES BUY INTO BUYING GM AT AN IPO WOULD BE TAKED ON ANY CAP GAINS THERE TO IN ESSENCE PAYING A TAX ON THE MONEY THEY ALREADY GAVE IN THE BAIL OUTS. Savings in Medicare and Medicaid. Our seniors paid into Medicare that belongs to them. They are covered. Don’t know much about Medicaid but seems to me those people are already covered in some manner also. How about streamlinging those programs, detect and prosecute fraud in the system and save millions there. No coverage for illegals. Well now we are down to some 15-20 million uncovered folks. Many of those choose NOT to buy insurance. States already have programs. What is the problem? No need to duplicate with Fed $$. At most a co-op type program has been suggested which could be offered to uninsured at low cost. No matter what these freaks come up with I want to make sure they are part of the plan. Many of the proposed so called Co Op plans are just cover ups for a federal plan calling for a governing board set up by the fed and funded by the fed that would everntually be run by participants. Yeah right, we all know when the damn Fed gets into something it never gets out, I.E. Amtrak. In fact Sleazy Schemer has said we must have something to keep things honest. HAHAHA Honest and the fed no gonna happen.
No more Platinum plans for them that we pay for. They are no better than you and me.

Did you see Pelosi speaking on her weekly address? That woman has such a drug addled mind she has no idea what she is saying. You would think after all these years in public life she could put a sentence together. We ask Republicans running for high office to offer up their medical records for review, me thinks as 3rd in line we should have access to hers also. Boy I bet that would make for some weird reading.

I have got to get my relatives in MN to start way ahead of time to vote him on out of the office he never should have been in, in the first place. It seems that even tho I am sure he will do something so dispicable he should be removed from office it wouldn't happen. The Dems have so many criminals in the admin currently they will always welcome more.
10th Amendment
The 10th amendment is short and sweet. It very clearly defines states rights:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively. or to the people."
As a member of No party currently my mission is to remind the elected officials of their oaths of office and uphold the constitution.

TEA PARTY PREPARATIONS
Getting signs ready for the 4th of July Tea Party in Olympia, WA at the state capitol. Hope to see many of you there.
Read the 10th Amendment - Power to the States. Time for Inslee, Baird, Cantwell, Murray, McDermutt, Reichert et all to work for the people of WA state and stop sucking up to the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Nobama.
Well at the Capitol I hope to leave a message for Mr. Baird to repay the citizens of WA state for taking family on a wonderful 4 day trip to the Galapagos Islands. I didn't know snorkling was a way to study so called Global Warming.
Grow Small Business, Not Big Government! Come on lets start by taking back our state and work towards taking back our Country or this may be the last time we have a reason to celebrate on July 4th.
Another Day in Hell
To borrow a phrase from the Prez, "I am deeply troubled" by the direction of this country.
We need to gather together for REAL CHANGE. TEA PARTIES are a good start but we now must gather on a much more frequent basis. We are not being listened to. When you attend your local Tea Party on July 4th please exchange information with others and plan to gather weekly and plan ever more gatherings. At some point they have to listen to us. The only prayer we have is to start with each local election and vote each and every person out of office all the way up to the United States Congress and the President. Even tho there are a small handful of decent people in public office we now must wipe the slate clean. Write to your reps and let them know you will be working against them when they next come up for re-election. Get them to start thinking about what they are doing. I am sick and tired of being thought of as stupid. I may not have thousands of dollars to contribute to a campaign but I have a brain and a love of my country. I can afford a couple hours a day to make sure my country heals and returns to the greatness it once enjoyed.
